I have been caring for my father who had C.O.P.D. he sadly passed away and am now looking to get back into the workspace as soon as possible.

My position involved meeting and greeting customers, sales advice, merchandising and general house keeping (making sure the products are priced correctly on a daily basis, cleaning the shop floor). My employment was very interesting and challenging due to having sales targets. I enjoyed and thrived working with a large team and working with customers of all ages.

January 2009 – June 2014

Full-time carer

During this time, I left work and moved into my father’s house to become his full-time carer, but was doing this with no government allowance due to my father’s disability application taking a very long time.

GAME PLC, Canary wharf – Sales Assistant

My main duties involved being on till, dealing with customers, cataloging stock and restocking the store ready for the next day. Working as a team and having good customer relations.

Traveling

Spent time traveling in the Philippines, visiting family and sight-seeing whilst taking a career break.

Sotheby’s Auction House, Olympia – Customer Service Assistant

My basic duties here were collection Counter duties - Customer Service, locating and sorting lots for collection. Setting up sales rooms and hanging paintings. Worked with Auctioneers and Security to ensure sales were set up correctly.

1st Security Ltd – Security Officer

When I worked for 1st Security Ltd my role was a static Security officer at the L.I.F.F.E Building in Canon street. Work involved area patrol, fire checks, alarm panels, bag and body searches, door control and CCTV control.

Sotheby’s Auction House, Bond ST – Security Control Officer

My duties involved guarding antiques and art also access control throughout the building. I worked days and night shifts also working abroad, 3 weeks in Germany and 2 weeks in Scotland on House sales.

Lanza Security – Security Officer

I had two placements – The first at Liberty’s Regent Street, and the Second at the British Airways London Eye. Work involved working with the public, Area patrol, bag and body searches, and CCTV control. I also Three-day training course in Health & Safety & Common Law.

Worked as a floor layer for my dad’s business fitting carpets and laying wooden floor.
